Frasers Hospitality purchased this 97-apartment hotel and asked Baxter Studio and interior designers Maxwell Green for proposals to enhance and improve the presentation of the apartments and public areas. The finished design introduces a more contemporary interior, in line with the hotel’s setting in the up-and-coming Sant Martí district. The apartments were given fresh interiors filled with natural light, and contemporary mini-kitchens and wardrobes were added. Gym and laundry facilities were introduced and the reception area was given a gallery feel with a dramatic faceted reception desk. The restaurant area was expanded and a more open floor-plan was created, with a new bar at its centre.
