Baxter Studio was pleased to design the refurbishment of an existing university Media Newsroom facility to bring it in line with current media standards. The refurbished accommodation includes two new computer suites each for 25 students, a new 200sqm broadcast newsroom teaching space with audio visual and IT facilities, a new production office suite and associated stores. The scope of work included asbestos removal, enabling works, protection of the existing services, new partitioning, ceiling and joinery works and movable screens as well as new mechanical, electrical & IT services. The works were completed over the summer break for the start of university term.
